What I Check
- Quantity and models against your purchase order and packing list
- Specifications: dimensions, key components, nameplates and serial numbers
- Function tests: start-up and running tests where possible
- Workmanship: welding, paint, leaks, damage and missing parts
- Packaging and marking for export
- Container loading supervision (optional)
For Machinery Buyers
For excavators, wheel loaders, forklifts and tractors, I record the engine model and serial number, check hydraulic functions and leaks, operating hours, attachments and tires, and make sure the machine being loaded is the one in your contract. For electric motors and pumps, I check nameplate data and test reports, and run tests where the factory has a test bench.
