What happens if the factory refuses to let your inspector in?

BruceZhang 2026-08-21 FAQ 356

A refusal is itself a significant finding and we document it fully in your report. We will record the date and time of the attempted visit, who we spoke with, the reason given for denial of access, and any observations made from outside the facility — including signage, vehicle activity, worker presence, and whether the address matches what the supplier claimed. In our experience, a supplier who refuses an independent inspection without a credible explanation is a supplier worth being cautious about. We will also advise you on how to handle the situation with the supplier directly, and whether it makes sense to attempt a rescheduled visit or proceed with a document-based risk report instead.
